The long time duo Eux Autres (pronounced zoo-echt) is back with their new Bons Mots-released EP, Sun is Sunk. Now an expanded trio, there's the spirit of motown girl groups and 60's psych-pop garage, along with the occasional Bo Diddly-beat. The track 'Broken Record' also somehow connects the dots between Split Enz and the Monkees. You can download the track Right Again, and buy the new EP on cd, download, or 12inch vinyl (which includes a lapel pin and a download for a live radio show performance).

Codeine - When I See The Sun Box Set
Codeine is getting the reissue treatment from the Numero Group, offering a box set and the option of buying each album by itself. Their three full lengths, released on Sub Pop from 1992-94 will be offered, each with a second LP of demos, live, peel sessions and unreleased tracks. Also, each album will come with a cd copy. Lastly, if you buy the box set and are one of the first 500 orders, you will get a bonus seven inch single. Did you know they are playing three shows too? Me neither, because they are all overseas. This is due out in May with pre-orders starting at a mystery date. More details here.

Mark Lanegan Band - Funeral Blues

The Mark Lanegan Band has a new album out on February 7 called "Blues Funeral" on 4AD Records. Lanegan continues his path as the most prolific musician to emerge from the Seattle grunge scene from the early 90's, and frequent collaborators Josh Homme and Greg Dulli make guest appearances. Consequence Of Sound has the video for The Gravedigger's Song and it's also available as a free mp3 download. You can also check out the latest tour dates here.
